Ordered the Hainan chicken with rice which was very tender and came with a decent portion of rice. Would probably order the dark meat (+$1) next time instead of the white meat that it comes with. We also got the Wednesday lunch special which was the Vietnamese style crab paste noodle. For only $12.25, it came with A LOT of crab paste/meat...seemingly more meat than noodles. It was flavorful, but wasn't my favorite dish. We came for a late lunch (~1:30pm) so there was no wait and the servers were extremely efficient. There's also a free parking lot across the street somewhat diagonal from the restaurant. I would come back for their Hainan chicken and to try the various other dishes that they serve!
Savoy Kitchen serves hands down the best Hainan chicken spot I've ever eaten. The chicken is so soft & the rice is so flavorful; not to mention the sauces I also like coming here on Wednesdays for the lunch special bun rieu! The line gets long during lunch time so I like to go during odd hours but even when it's busy; they're good @ taking care of their guests :)
Everyone's go-to spot for Hainan chicken!!! Although the portion has gotten alot smaller, they keep the great price/value which makes up for everything else. The dish still makes me full for one person so I think it's still worth coming here. To me a good Hainan chicken is the sauce that goes with the dish and I will argue that Savoy has the best sauce that pairs well. Ive tried Hainan chicken at multiple places but I will always choose to come here. The rice is pretty good too and never dry, but lacks a bit of that chicken flavor for chicken rice. I frequently order the Hainan chicken with rice and salad. The salad comes with an addicting dressing and the salad pieces are always fresh. Other repeats are the baked seafood casserole with the white sauce. Its soo good, they never give enough pasta at all but its packed with mushrooms, scallops, and comes with a fish and shrimp pieces. The mushroom pizza is our go to for the pizza section. It is also made with white sauce and comes with different kinds of savory buttery mushrooms. I recently tried the seafood pizza and I would say the mushroom one was way better and has more of a umami flavor. The seafood pizza was a bit bland and I just dont think pairs as well as the other pizza options. Sometimes we also get the escargot but its honestly not worth the price for the size and amount you get. Its yummy, garlickly, and buttery.. but the portion is insanely small so it makes it not worth the price point. The fried shrimp rolls are fun to eat and easy to share amongst, but also nothing special and a pass for me the next time. Ive always wanted to try the curry so maybe I'll order this next time! Service is always fast and friendly- usually when I pick up for to-go I am in and out in less than 5 minutes which I appreciate.
Great food and fast service. This place is always busy as they have many diners and many to go orders. Baked Halibut- 10/10 Creamy, cheese, and piping hot. This dish with a side of rice is amazing.
[ Food ] Hainan Chicken is a must, I like how they give you the option to pick dark meat only. [ Service ] Customer service is good, the ladies outside are so friendly and attentive. [ Parking ] I never knew they had their own parking lot across the small street, maybe it's new or just that I haven't been there in a while. Look out for the big mural/sign. There's also street parking.
